Accessibility
How The Decimal Space is designed to be easier to use on different devices and with different access needs.
Design approach
The site uses responsive layouts, visible focus styles, keyboard-accessible controls, readable contrast, semantic headings, labelled calculator fields and a skip link to the main content.
Appearance
Visitors can use a light or dark appearance. The website also respects a device appearance preference unless a visitor chooses an appearance using the on-page button.
Calculator inputs
Calculator pages identify expected inputs and units. If an input is missing or invalid, the page provides an error message rather than producing a result.
Known limitations
Some calculations require JavaScript. The website is not designed to work fully without JavaScript because calculators run in the browser. Complex formulas and symbols may also be easier to interpret visually than with every assistive technology.
Report an accessibility issue
Email hello@thedecimalspace.com with the page address, device, browser or assistive technology used, and a short explanation of the issue.
